Grant Holt’s 60th-minute header earned Norwich a 1-1 draw against Liverpool at Anfield.

Craig Bellamy, making his first Premier League start since his return to Liverpool, had seemingly put the hosts on course for victory when he opened the scoring on the stroke of half-time.

But Liverpool were made to pay for a string of missed chances – three times they hit the woodwork – when Holt climbed highest to head home Anthony Pilkington’s cross.

Liverpool couldn’t find a winner despite two glorious injury-time chances as first Andy Carroll put a free header wide from six yards before Luis Suarez saw his close-range effort brilliantly tipped over the bar by John Ruddy.
