Transfer Latest: Liverpool

We can confirm Liverpool are closing in on 3 signings. Those 3 are Swansea City’s Joe Allen, Roma’s Fabio Borini and Fulham’s Clint Dempsey. Borini is said to be the closest, as close as this week before Liverpool head for their tour of the USA.

Other rumoured players interesting the new Liverpool manager are German pair, Julian Draxler and Lewis Holtby of Schalke.

Brendan Rodgers has wasted no time in  attempting to strengthen his Liverpool side and put his stamp on things.

Craig Bellamy is thought to be off to Cardiff City as they have offered a rumoured £2M for the Welsh international, a transfer which may not go down too well on Merseyside as Bellamy was highly thought of at Anfield but it seems his 2nd stint as a Liverpool player is set to come to an end.

Maxi Rodriguez is heading back to his homeland, in Argentina to the club he first started at – Newell’s Old Boys where he is believed to accepted a 4 year contract pending Liverpool let him leave but that is believed to be a done deal and it will be confirmed official in the next few days.

Andy Carroll is set to fight for his place at Anfield after being linked with a move down south to West Ham on loan, however Liverpool are actively trying to sell the target man, as Liverpool are thought to be trying to re-coup as much money as possible to fund Brendan Rodgers transfer kitty to invest in players who would fit into the style of play he is trying to instill at Anfield next season, players like Carroll & Charlie Adam are seen as players who can generate cash

Joe Cole is also believed to be joining West Ham.

It will be interesting to see how many players Liverpool do actually sign over the summer as at the moment it seems to be more departures than arrivals at Anfield.
